aSsalti nella Storia
This project, which originated from the efforts of 5 museums of the Colline Metallifere in the province of Grosseto (Archaeological Museum of Vetulonia, Mining Museum of Gavorrano, Museum of Iron and Cast Iron of Follonica, Archaeological Museum of Massa Marittima, and the Documentation Centre of Scarlino) and co-financed by the Regione Toscana,  proposes to bring young people close to the cultural heritage of the territory in order to become acquainted with it, love it and, consequently, to safeguard it. The protagonists of the individual volumes, who are always children, will accompany us light-heartedly, narrating to us the history of their people and of their land through the simply gestures of their daily life.

He tells about his first day at work and about his first sea voyage towards the island of Aithalia (what was once Elba), which then was barren and desolate due to the exploitation of the woods, but rich in minerals. He explains to us how kilns were built and how they operated.
Vita nel castello. Scarlino 600 anni fa

How does a castle originate? How is life organised outside and inside the walls? Martino and Salvetto answer these questions by going back over the history of a village of huts and then of life in the municipality, its administration, its activities, its society.
Gavorrano. Avventura in miniera

The last lap of a journey back in time. Filippo and his friends follow old Sirio, an ancient miner, through the tunnels of a mine, which by now is used as a museum, where he explains to them how difficult life underground was, and answers their questions.
